Nike’s Musical Shoes

Ad Campaigns, Experiential, Viral

Nike are doing some great work recently, and if you haven’t seen it you should check out the video for Nike Grid which is due to launch this Friday. In a nutshell, participants run to various different locations in London, where they check in via phonebox (imagine foursquare for the fit and energetic!). You compete with other runners over a 24 hour period, although as my fellow Steak worker John Barton pointed out, you could get a car to each location (sorry for our defeatist attitudes). Despite this, it’s yet another good example of Nike getting people involved in an activity and reaping branding benefits, despite not ramming the branding side of it down participants’s throats.

The video I actually came on here to blog is the one above. I hope it’s real because it’s a nice idea. Trainers+pressure pads+mixers & samples+DJs = branded beats. Have a look for yourself!

The frequency at which you update your site make me feel shame at my own slackness :)

That may be, but you have a much better gravatar than me.
